Crush💕

So... I have a crush on a kid at a different school (my old school) he is super cute but I don't think he know that I exist especially after I changed schools. I am also the shy/smart-ish kid and he is the kid who is constantly in trouble for fighting or whatever. Tbh I don't even know why I like him I just know that I want to help him (I can tell that he is from a rough household) my mother says I can have a bf but my uncle that takes the place of my non existent dad says I can't date and he means the world to me so I don't want to upset him. I don't know what to do. Should I just tell the kid that I like him?
