Does your SO do this?

My SO, who can be a jealous/insecure person, tells me any time a woman compliments or hits on him. I’m not sure if he is wanting me to be jealous or what but I usually just say “cool,” or “she’s right” or “I like that about you too” just things to build his confidence I guess.  He said I should tell him the same if a man compliments or hits on me. Does anyone else SO do this? I’m just wondering if this is normal or borderline controlling behavior? It definitely gets old after a while. Like ultimately I trust him and I couldn’t care less if other woman hit on him. I’m just wondering why he is always wanting to know. He constantly asks who I’m texting too 🙄

Don't do it. Do not feed his insecurity because if he's not controlling now it could start. Plus its not going to make him feel better at all.

Coming from an insecure person. I wouldn’t want the person I’m with to be like yes cool. But I also don’t tell my husband if someone hits on me at all.

When he tells me someone hits on him I’m like good she can take you w her! Or did you tell her your ass stinks 😂😂😂😳 but that’s just how we are. He tells me when he gets hit on but I don’t really tell him. Unless it was such a weird way/moment. But I don’t really ever tell him.

I’ma be honest with you here. 
My husband does not compliment me often. 
I do seek that attention from him, I crave it. I worked really hard to lose a lot of weight and feel more comfortable to dress up to look good on his arm. Giving myself confidence. 
So when someone else compliments me, or hits on me, I tell him. Why? Because I’m hoping at least I can get a “yeah he was right” out of him. 
Doesn’t always happen, but maybe your man wants you to compliment him. Tell him he looks good, or that color looks amazing. Or the way his pants hug his tushy. 🤷‍♀️ Some people need that to know their partner still notices them and wants them.

If he’s trying to prove something about his desirability, he’s failing. If he’s jealous of you getting noticed, that’s a red flag. Basically, none of this behavior is a good thing.

It's definitely weird. I'd have a talk with him and let him know that id prefer for him to stop. Then, if he does it again, I'd just stop acknowledging it. If he tells you some story about a women hitting on him... don't respond. Change the subject and move on. Those little comments you make back to him is what keeps making him come back to tell you more. So, next time change the subject and don't acknowledge it. 
There's not much else (in a relationship) worse than an insecure partner. That's why communication is key. Tell him how you feel, and hopefully that'll stop it. Maybe he thinks you like it when he tells you -- its almost like he *thinks*/assumes that by him telling you these things shows you have nothing to worry about with him. As if it's a sign of his loyalty to you. So, break the habit.

I struggle with that as well, my boyfriend who happens to work in the auto industry gets hit on a lot, I’m a pretty secure person with myself but it gets very tiring hearing about females hitting on him because he tends to be a over friendly person… and sometimes I feel like he just brings it up to boost his ego or make me jealous. I got to the point where when he tells me I just say welp hope they can deal with you since you’re bringing her up. Sometimes I feel like you just have to humble them in a nice way and bruise their egos a little in order for them to stop.

My husband puffs up a bit of he thinks someone is looking at me in public, but I can be mostly naked at a kink party and have someone literally following me around and hes like damn right thats my girl. Says it makes him proud. Like what? He says its expected at the parties. He wants people to look at me there. I dont get it, but whatever. I love when people check him out anywhere. It makes him feel good about himself and I'm like mhm that's mine 🥰 
On the texting thing 😂😂😂 He does ask who I'm talking to but he already knows the damn answer. The problem is I make a lot of face and hand gestures like I'm having a conversation with a real ass person in front of me, but I'm typing on my phone. Like are you even really talking to your best friend if you aren't making faces and moving your hands around at your phone?!? Funny thing is my dad says my bonus mom does the same shit when she's talking to me. She'll fully stop talking mid sentence to message me back 😂😂 yes my bonus mom is my best friend.
