So I developed preeclampsia and ended up giving birth to my son prematurely a month before my due date. He’s in the NICU because he was having a little trouble breathing but today they told us that they want to do surgery on his head because his school hasn’t fully developed and has two divots on each side which is making his skull a weird shape and they want to do the surgery before his skull gets firm.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Or was told this and their kid ended up not needing surgery? This is obviously so scary for me and this is my first baby so I want to make the best decision
