Repeat c-section or VBAC?

My OB keeps bugging me to make a decision, so she can get me into a consultation for which either I decide because I’m 26w  . (My first baby was born Nov. 2020, and ended up being an emergency cesarean- I don’t know if the back to back pregnancies would play a roll in how I’d want to decide?.) 
Just wanted pros and cons of women who went through it , for which ever you decided . 
I haven’t announced yet , so I can’t really ask anyone I know , a girl I went to school with just had a repeat cesarean, this go around scheduled , and she keeps posting on Facebook about the healing process being so much worse than what she remembers with her daughter , who she had about three years before . 
So I wanted others advice. I go back here soon, and they’re expecting me to have my mind made up. 🙃🙄

I chose a C-section for my second delivery, first was an emergency. Recovery was so much easier the second time, and the whole experience was way more calm than the first. Obviously it’s all I know, but I liked it. I’ll be having my third csection in August!

I chose to vbac for my second and will be hopefully having a vaginal birth again for my third.
I think part of the decision making does have to be with your dr, the biggest part being is you a good candidate for a vbac. What were the reasons for needing one first time? If you went into labor would it ultimately result in a C-section again about laboring for hours? If you were to need another C-section after a long labor I would schedule it instead, if you are a good candidate then I would vbac!
My personal experience was vbac was 10x better than the C-section. Night and day recovery which was very helpful with having a 2 yo still wanting to be picked up by his mommy. I got a C-section the first time because my baby was breech but I went into labor and my water broke so it was done as “an emergency” rather than the schedule C-section. This made me a good candidate to vbac because the reasons was baby’s position and I still went into labor on my own.

I was trying for a vbac but now Having a c section unless I go into labor naturally by Tuesday. (Nothing medical happened for me to make this
Choice) I am the one who decided on the c section date.

I chose VBAC with my son. I had a planned but turned urgent c-section January 2019 and delivered my son via VBAC on December 2020. I am due with the next, and last, baby October 1st according to glow. Will be going vaginal again as long as it's safe. Recovery is 100% better vaginal.

I chose vbac. I had my daughter through a scheduled csection in september 2019 and my second daughter in may 2021. Vbac was the best choice for me because i wanted to be home as soon as possible for my toddler, i wanted to be able to take care of her like normal, and i wanted to be able to be the best version of myself for both of my girls. all my future babies i will plan to vbac

I was not a candidate for VBAC so I had a repeat csection with my daughter last June. My kiddos are 3 years 2 months apart, but I have some other medical reasons a VBAC just wasn’t going to work. 
Only thing I I’d a bit of issue with is my toddler is over 40lbs so I had to ease him into me not being able to pick him up from about 30/32 weeks so he was used to it by the time baby arrived.
My scheduled C-section was infinitely better than the emergency one with my son. Way calmer, you know when to be there, my son was safely dropped off and I got to spend time with him before and get him ready etc. my husband knew when to start his time off - all that jazz was nice.
My recovery after my planned csection was WAY smoother for me, you know how to sit up, how to cough, how to breastfeed or whatever without hurting your incision. I had the same OB and surgeon for both my deliveries. I also had a tubal ligation when I had my second csection so I was happy to have that done at the same time. 
If you are a candidate for VBAC and you want to do it - go for it! Seems like lots of women loved that experience. However it wasn’t an option for me so I just shared what I know lol. For me a planned csection was great and I’m happy with the whole process.

i chose c section, i had 35% success rate, would not have gotten the experience i wanted (bathtub). it was so much easier to coordinate childcare for my older one. I’m really glad I chose C-section, my child is gigantic and so is his head ha ha the doctors told me I would have never pushed him out just like my other son.

Vbac! Statistically way safer for you. I had a vbac 16 months after my csection and I’m so glad I chose vbac. Pregnant again and planning a 2vbac this spring.
