Normal to not feel baby during the day?

I Have an anterior placenta, I am 30 weeks and I dont feel my baby kick during the day. At night I feel her kick a bit when I go to lay down for the night. I mentioned it to my ob in my last appointment and she had me connect to the heart beat monitor thing that does the paper with it (sorry not sure what its called) and my daughters heart beat was good, I was on it for about an hour.  but I just worry cause she doesn't ever move from when I wake up and go to bed, only a bit at night and its only about 5-7 kicks. Should I be trying to get a second opinion on this?

Are you moving around throughout the day? You might just be rocking the baby to sleep or your own movements might be making it hard to feel her move. I have an anterior placenta and if I’m walking around doing things, I hardly feel baby. It’s mostly when I’m sitting or laying down that the pressure on my ribs and rolls begin. With that being said, always take a break and see if baby will move (I do this if I’m having a particularly active day, just to double check).

I had full anterior with my 1st and 3rd, and it definitely largely limited the movements I could feel throughout the day. If I was busy and walking around I wouldn’t feel a darn thing. I would sometimes feel stuff if I sat down and concentrated and poked and prodded. This was especially true with my 1st, but she was a tiny baby, 6lbs 1oz at 39+5. Trust your gut. If you feel something may be wrong and you want to seek a second opinion, then do it. 
It is also totally normal and fine to not be very big at 30w, and this is more common if it is your first. There is a huge range of how a bump looks because of lots of different factors, and it doesn’t have any bearing on the health of your baby.

I had anterior placenta with my first and I hardly felt any kicking throughout my pregnancy, more like general pressure (especially in my ribs). I didn’t have anything to compare it to. Baby turned out fine and healthy.

Maybe you don’t feel her unless you’re laying down? I am also 30 weeks w an anterior placenta & my baby is head down right now, so I only feel him moving near my pelvis unless I’m laying down, then I feel his feet near my ribs.. and I hardly ever feel anything if I’m standing & walking around.

Are you sure her movements just aren’t changing? 
I’m almost 30 weeks and I’ve noticed that I don’t really feel kicks anymore. I feel him mostly in the morning and at night, but when I feel him it feels more like little rolling and stretching sensations. With a prod here and there, which feels more like an elbow prodding my sides. I also have an anterior placenta. 
But I was reading that after 28-29 weeks baby has less room to kick and punch, so movements feel different. I miss a lot of them during the day since they aren’t hard jabs anymore, but when I do notice them it’s usually more of a pressure feeling in different areas. 
Don’t forget, your placenta will still be blocking some of those movements.
