How long you meed to wait for your c section confirmation letter in UK?

My C section has been requested by my OB bit he said you need to wait for another department to confirm the date and they will send you a letter. Do you know how long it will take for them to send a confirmation letter?

At my hospital I'm under an consultant and she is going to book me in for my 6th c section at my 32 weeks appointment for 37 weeks. I received my letter after it was booked along with covid testing and going for a pre op assessment and ill be having steriods a few days before. Usually the hospital phone you the day before the c section and ask you to come in for an certain time for your c section xx

It truly depends on the hospital system.
My sil had an appointment booked then there, because the doctor taking care of her was the same one working on the same hospital and also doing a csection. She was not under midwife but a doctor because of complications in her pregnancy. I don't know how it works trough a midwife.
