Hcg levels?

So my last period was Dec.23rd, but my HCG levels are at 490 for almost “5 weeks”, does that sound normal? I don’t know precisely how far along I actually am

There is a huge range of normal numbers for pregnancy because of different factors. Sometimes you ovulate late. Sometimes you implant late. Sometimes your hcg rises but not super quick. Sometimes hcg rises REALLY quick. As long as your hcg shows you’re pregnant then you’re pregnant. If they want to repeat the blood draw then it’s the second number that matters—your hcg should hopefully be about double what it was.

Until your first appointment how far along you are is just an estimate. You could’ve ovulated earlier and actually be farther along (I don’t have them memorized, just saying there are reasons for different things). 
As long as it’s increasing appropriately that is what matters. I don’t have easy access to the range picture I had saved, but you can google it and it’ll show you where different levels fall.
