I’m STEAMING. My husband and I were taught different ways to pay off credit cards and were both very hard headed. Please don’t judge us as we’re clearly working on paying them down quickly. My husband got a very large promotion so we can start to pay off our 3 credit cards! Yay!

So we have 3 cards all around 5k owed each.

Card 1: owes the most money and highest interest rate. Paying $4 a day in interest

Card 2: least amount owed but interest rate is still high. Paying $3 a day in interest

Card 3: owes a few dollars more than card 2 but had zero interest until July 2023. Paying $0 a day in interest.

I want to pay off card 1 first as it makes the most sense to me to pay off the card that’s costing us the most interest a day.

My husband wants to pay off card 3 because it doesn’t have any interest.

I can’t seem to get it through his head that we’ll save money by paying off card 1 first! Shucks even paying off card 2 will benefit us but he’s dead set on paying card 3 off first.

We plan on paying all of the cards off over the next 4 months.
