I failed my 1 hour with a 184 and had to take the 3 hour. I seen my doctor for a regular appointment after my 3 hour and, after talking with him, I was informed that a steroid shot will make your glucose levels high up to a week after. I had to get two steroid shots for baby's lungs due to preterm contractions and thinning cervix. I had one the day before my 1 hour glucose test and the second shot immediately after. So, in case anyone else has to get steroid shots around the time of their 1 hour test, ask to postpone a week so your results won't be skewed and you have to waste your time doing the 3 hour (which I passed).
