Is he right or wrong?

Me and my husband got invited to a wedding in March but I haven't been able to find a babysitter for our 3 kids (6, 4 and 6 months) so obviously that means I can't go but he has decided to still attend.. I'm just wondering if anyone feels like it's fair he gets to attend while I have to be home with the kids?

I think this depends on who the wedding is for, if it’s one of his friends or family members then he should still go to be there for them.  And I know you have to rsvp early but you still have 1-2 months to work on finding a babysitter, if you really want to be able to go keep looking for a babysitter, even if it means finding someone local that you don’t know yet, it gives you plenty of time to introduce them to you children and have a few shorter outings/date nights as trial runs before the wedding.

I would personally see it as he is representing our family in attendance and I would also want to say I would be bummed.. I really would but in my head it would be one of us has to go and who ever is most relevant to the relationship should be the one to go

My husband has been to a couple of weddings without me and the kids, it doesn't bother me one bit. Why should he stay home just because you can't find a sitter? It's nice that he still wants to go support the couple even if you can't join him this time. I feel like it would be more rude for none of you to show up when one of you is able to.

We’re not joined at the hip just because we’re married. If it’s his family/friend, he should go. If it’s yours, you should go. I don’t see why you don’t think you can get a sitter when you have a month yet to look.

Are children prohibited from attending the wedding? If not, take them with you. 
If it’s his family or friend, then he should go even if you can’t. 
If it’s your family or friend, he should stay home and let you go. 
You still have time to find a sitter tho. Fb has babysitting/nanny groups. Check them out for your area. Ah friends who they use and is they’d be willing to watch yours this one time.

Y’all are both parents, one of you clearly has to decide to stay home while the other goes if you can’t find a sitter. Either way one of you can’t go, either way one person is left at home. If he has to stay home- wouldn’t it be unfair to him as well?

If we couldn't get a baby sitter and it were an important wedding we would:
A) get a hotel nearby the venue and take turns with the kids, or
B) the person who is closest to the couple would go and the other would stay home

I think it depends on who is getting married. If it's family r a close friend, I wouldn't care. if it's anyone else, I'd be bothered by it and wonder why he was going. Yall cannot use Care.com or a service like that? The sitters are vetted/background checked.
