Cna job

I recently graduated from a cna program & got hired at a nursing home 10 days ago I still have not started & won’t be anytime soon.. I got told that I still need to go through a training program through them that it’s only a 1 day program. Is this normal? I’ve never had a job like this before & the process seems to be taking forever..
