I've had sub contract jobs in the last few years but this was my legit first day of work in almost 7 years. I was so nervous. I'm over qualified for my job but I'm still scared. I was told several times by my new coworkers I must be happy to just have this job to "get out of the house" or "your older you know how to behave."

I was so put off by them in general. I actually need this income and I take it seriously. I also don't like being called old. Like I'm just kind of perplexed why they would assume this job is some kind of "fun hobby" of mine. I've never said anything to imply that. It just made me more nervous.

I'm a sensitive person and after being handicapped for so long and then a stay at home mom I'm terrified of being back to work.
