Is anyone else feeling the stress of this pandemic starting to divide friendships and family because everyone has different views?

So here in Canada there’s this trucking convoy going on, people are rallying for freedom from covid mandates.

I as a frontline hospital worker is against this, I see first hand how bad covid really is and I also have looked into the organizers of this convoy and some of them have a history of white supremacy, in other words some of the organizers are just plain racist and I’m sorry but I can’t support that. I know the truckers are likely not racist and I’m sure majority of people marching are also not racist but because there is a small association to these racist people I will not support this movement. I also feel like minus the masks and not being able to eat out if you aren’t vaccinated we’re a pretty free country. In my opinion I think there are people out there going thru much worse in other countries. But that’s just my opinion.

Well I shared something yesterday on my socials about how I feel and holy crap did I ever get ripped apart. How come these people who support the convoy and so called support freedom can share what they believe and I’ll just peacefully scroll past, but when someone posts something against their beliefs they have to rip them apart? I thought this was about freedom, shouldn’t I be able to believe what I want and post what I want?

I hate that this has divided so many people. It sucks. This pandemic sucks
