How long is everyone planning on breastfeeding?

Breastfeeding is NOT my favorite but I know it’s important — I’m already dreaming of formula though 😂 when is everyone planning on switching to formula if you are breastfeeding?
* P.S. Fed is best! Not looking for a discussion on formula vs boobs.

I just keep making short-term goals... One month... 2 months... 3 months... I'm trying to not put too much pressure on myself! With my first son, I stopped breastfeeding as soon as he had teeth because he wouldn't stop biting. That was around 6 months. I will probably shoot for 6 months with this child too!

My baby is 3 and a half months old, and honestly its hard but its the most beautiful bond I could ever ask for. He eats so well, sleeps well (with the boob) and I can’t imagine taking the boob away from him. And the smile he gives me every single time he feeds just melts me… I will let him breastfeed for as long as he wants ❤️

We made it just over 2 months. My girl bites. Has since birth. So latching issues, on top of a very low supply because my OB had me on lasix for 10 days AFTER I got home from the hospital. I was in hospital for 4 days on lasix in there as well. We didn’t get to do skin to skin until 24 hours after birth. I fed, pumped, supplemented and drained myself like crazy. I finally made the call, and I couldn’t be happier. Once that pressure was off feeding goes so much better for us now. She sucks that bottle down! No more struggling and crying during feedings. Do what’s best for you! Your baby needs you, whether it’s a boob or bottle, if you’re stressed out then you’re not able to be the best you you can be for your babe!

Thanks everyone!! I love how widely different everyone’s experiences are. Don’t get me wrong - I love the bonding, but I hate that my body is not my own. All y’all mamas are awesome.

My son is 16 weeks and I have been exclusively pumping since he was three days old. I’m about to start weaning because I am DONNEEE. Not scared to say that I hate breastfeeding and will not be attempting it ever again. Ready for my body to be mine again

I take it a month at a time. My initial goal was 3 months, she’s nearly 4 months and now my next goal is 6 months. I’ll see how things are when we get to that point

At least 1 year and we’ll see after that. My first nursed to sleep until I got my pregnant with my second - he was 22 months. I liked that he had that sleep association and would go to sleep easily and quickly with it. 
I wouldn’t mind doing bottles or formula or whatever if I had more family around to feed the baby but I’m pretty much the only one so I feel like it’s just easier w the boobs since the milk is ready lol

I enf my first fit 15 months until I was super done and had an aversion. I had no goals from the beginning and it worked for us. The important thing is going what works for you!

Formula all the way over here😂 I had my daughter in 2020, breastfed for 3 months and didn’t like it. So we started our son on formula from the jump.

I plan on going till 6 months and that’s it!! I exclusively pump and it’s so much work, the bottles , bagging everything. She already drinks formula at night 1-2 bottles
