How many retrievals did you have to do before successful with IVF?

How many RETRIEVALS did you have to do before you were successful with IVF? Just wondering what my best option payment plan is. Do I pay more for 3 retrievals but get 50% back if it doesn’t work or pay less for 1 but then have to pay 4,000 each FET and 13k each additional retrieval?

I got REALLY lucky and only paid for one retrieval and got one normal embryo. I was stressing hard though. If I had to do it over again I would had chosen the option for two retrievals and unlimited transfers for $20k more.

1st retrieval I got 2 embryos. 1st one ended in chemical and ill be transferring the 2nd this month. Not tested.

I got lucky and fell pregnant with our first fresh embryo, we also have one egg on ice for later use

A lot depends on age and your own personal fertility health. But I would go for more retrievals to relieve some stress.

If you are above 35 or with AFC less than 20 go for multiple retrievals. I had 5 IVF ICSI and 6 transfers and 5 miscaridges not a living baby in sight.

If you truly have no idea how your body will respond to meds or what your egg quality is like I would absolutely pay for a package with more retrieval’s just in case the first one isn’t successful. Think of it like insurance.
