Boyfriend wants kids

So I've been with my boyfriend for 1 year and a half, ever since we started dating he was unsure about having kids, he couldn't imagine having freedom while having kids in his life. I was bringing up the subject a lot in the beginning of the relationship but I stopped because he felt pressured and I wanted him to make an honest decision.

I've always been clear I wanted kids and that eventually I couldn't be with him if he didn't.

Today he randomly brought up the subject and said that he actually wants kids in his future, he thought about it a lot and he wants us to have a family, he sees himself with kids looking like a perfect mix of us. He said he was just scared of not being able to achieve his goals and travel but he realised he has plenty of time to do that and we can still do things with kids in our life. I know he didn't agree just for me because he's stubborn and doesn't change his mind for anyone lol, I'm glad we're now on the same page!
