Do you think that in order to be a well rounded and stable adult, that as a boy you need your father or a strong father figure/male influence, or as a girl you need your mother or a strong mother figure/female influence?

I believe that a child needs to have the masculine protection a father brings, and the feminine care a mother brings. It brings balance to the family dynamic.

I think children need good adult role models. I also thing they need examples of positive relationships to know how to be treated by a partner. Period. It’s convenient if those people are their parents, but it’s not the only way.

I believe children need two stable parents in their lives. Preferably bio mother and father, but adopted parents or good guardians are great too. As long as they're stable and provide a safe loving environment, the child will be much better off.

From my sociology and science textbooks the conclusion seems to be that children thrive in healthy environments ideally with both parents present who bring different things to the table.
