Are you on the “do not call list”?

I just registered my phone number with the federal trade commission aka do not call list… does it actually work? And does it also apply to text message advertisement and spam?

I’m on the do not call list but it doesn’t prevent illegal spam / phishing calls. You can report unwanted spam calls on the same website you register your number though. I’ve done that a few times.

It works for legit companies. Scammers don’t care and call anyway. My spam filter does a decent job, but also catches some legit calls like from our daycare, so it’s not really an option for me to use it 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think the “do not call list” only works for reputable companies who do cold calls legally. Scammers, people phishing for credit card info are not following the the law.

I am on the list. It does not work they phish peoples cell numbers and route theur spam calls that way. Its getting stupidly crazy bad.
