Its sickening to me how i hear racism and how much it still exists. I dont see it in my dady to day life nor experience it so i am grateful for that. I am an african American woman. My partner is African American and italian. He looks caucasian with a short cut and Columbia with his hair grown out. He is very faired skinned with green eyes. His mother side is italian and they are so loving and caring to me thwy never make me feel uncomfortable being the only dark skinned around. They respect me and his relationship. Its mind baffling to me that alot of families don’t accept interracial relationships. Or act weird and awkward when their child brings home a different race its sickening and sad and it is ignorant. I have dated other African Americans, puerto ricans, biracial people, and an Ecuadorian. My African American family accepted anyone I bought to thanksgiving dinner with no questions asked and made them feel like family just like how my partner family does to me. I just don’t understand how things like this is still going on. And it’ll continue because thise people are ignorant and they don’t educate themselves and wont educate their children and the cycle will continue. Im grateful i dont go through it and i feel for the many people who do no matter which race. I feel for them all.
