Just needing to vent. My son just recently turned 15 months old and I am approximately 6 weeks and 6 days pregnant. From birth to about 14.5 months old my son was a boob monster he could stay on it forever if I had let him. Recently he picked up Hand foot and mouth disease from a public playground we go to. This caused a few blisters to pop up in his mouth which made nursing difficult for him. He is no longer struggling with symptoms from the HFMD but is now refusing to nurse. My supply is fine as I was pumping and getting about 2 to 3oz per breast as per usual and he didn't seem turned off by the taste. I did pump while waiting for him to get over HFMD but anytime I try to nurse him even when he is sleepy he will snuggle me but casually push aside my breast and not even go for it. He occasionally asked for them but when I offer them he refuses. He doesn't get grumpy he just doesn't seem to want it. I know that it is okay for him to wean now but I just didn't expect it to happen so fast and I feel like I'm losing a part of myself. I expected a slow weaning process not a less than 24 hr one. I had also hoped to be able to tandem feed him and his new sibling. Just having a hard time with my son growing up and not needing me the same ways.
