We have been back and fourth to the pediatrician lately because our son has horrible eczema. He just turned 4 months last week. A month ago he was weighing 11 lb 12 oz. today he went for his 4 month check up and he’s only 11 lb 13 oz. Our pediatrician was not concerned about it at all and said we could try giving 1 oz of formula after he’s done with his bottle because he’s too young for solids. I am worried and confused. My baby was born at 37+2 and only 5 lb 15 so he’s nearly doubled his weight but there’s no way he should have only gained 1 oz in a month. I exclusively pump so I know he’s getting plenty of milk and he doesn’t spit up a ton. Should I take him to a different pediatrician? Any of you with early term babies have similar weight gain patterns?
