When to change diaper

Okay so when newborn is going poop how long should I wait to change so I don’t get pooped on while they are still going lol

That's hard to know. They might be done, but the second you wipe their butt they might get more out as wiping the butt stimulates going 🤷🏻‍♀️

I waited a minute or two. My son didn't poo all at once usually, so if I heard him pooing I waited a bit, but that is like individual to a kid I am sure. You will get the feeling eventually. Also their pooping habits change so much and fast so be preoped to adabt.

All babies are different and that also means their poop! I remember when my LO was about 6 weeks old, I had just tossed his diaper in the trash right before I went to put a new one under him, poop just poured out of his butt like a waterfall onto the changing pad…. Another time he popped while my husband was wiping him. I laughed.

I usually give it about 5-10min to make sure their done. However that doesn't always work. My youngest has pooped on my couch twice and in my hand three times. All within the first three weeks.

I remember when my baby was probably 2 weeks old, was changing his nappy. Next thing TMI: he projectile pooped on the wall, ran down the wall onto the carpet. That was fun to clean, not haha! You can try giving them a few minutes, but it never worked with me. He would go again when I wiped his bottom when he was newborn. He's 14 weeks now and only poops once, maybe twice a day. I'll give him 5 to 10 minutes to get it all out, it works now 95% of the time 🙂
