Was your membrane sweep successful?

Just had mine done. This is my second pregnancy but first time getting a membrane sweep. Did it actually work and if so when did labor begin for you? I know it’s different for everyone but just curious

I had one at 39 and 40 with my first. Went into labor a day later. Not sure if it was just timing or the membrane sweep

I was already hours into my induction when they did it so things started progressing but my induction already started do it’s hard to say BUT for some reason it hurt like a biiiitch when they did it!

Yes I think I had only one sweep and then had the baby 3 days later. Had contractions for an hour before going to the hospital. Had her 2 hours later, so be prepared.

I thought mine failed because my OB told me it should work within 48-72 hours. I got it done at 38+1 and my water broke at 38+5. So I don’t know if it actually worked or not lol

Yes. Had it at 2pm at 39 weeks and delivered the baby 12 hrs later at 39+1 @2am. After the sweep, I had cramps the rest of the day that progressed into full blown labor around 9pm

It did for my SIL.
Got it on her first in the morning. Had contractions by midnight.

Yes! Stripped at 9 am water broke that night at 2 am. Was supposed to be at hospital at 6 am for induction. Glad I dodged that bullet!
