To preface. 1) I have not had this linkage medically confirmed and I am seeing an allergist in a few weeks to make sure there’s nothing else going on. 2) This is not meant to discourage anyone from getting any vaccinations. Even if my booster shot is the cause, I don’t regret it. Basically, I itch a lot and even the slightest friction causes these welt/hive things.

Anyway, about 13 days after getting the Moderna booster I developed sudden dermatographia. I’ve never had any reactions to medications or vaccinated before. Nothing else in my home life or lifestyle has changed either. There’s a small group of people who are noticing a correlation between them developing this condition and it happening about 10ish days after receiving the Moderna booster.

I’m working with my GP and soon an allergist to get to the bottom of everything. But, it seems likely that multiple people experiencing the same thing within the same time range and after getting the same brand of booster, that there may be a link.

So, not asking for advice or anything but, has anyone else had this experience? Honestly just looking for someone to understand what I’m dealing with. My doctor doesn’t fully understand (which I get, it’s a pretty rare thing to develop, but there’s been an uptick of Moderna boost receivers suddenly getting it), and it’s getting frustrating, hence why I’m seeing an allergist.
