Clomid question??

Question

Just wondering if anyone that took clomid were you monitored by your dr after taking it? My dr never said anything about it so I was jw what happens after?I read online that you should have blood tests and a sonogram. Should I call and ask or just wait to see if it works on my own?

When I started he wanted me to call on cycle day 1 and book and ultrasound for cycle day 12-14. But both months I've called he's been on holidays so I haven't gone. Don't think it's mandatory but probably a good thing to make sure it's actually working

In all the time I have taken clomid, the only monitoring I've had done was to do blood work on day 24 to check progesterone levels- to see if I ovulated or not. I've never gone in for a follicle scan while on clomid. 
​But that could be due to the fact that i hadn't ovulated in years and just the last 2 cycles have finally ovulated.

Yes I think your doctor will want to do a sonogram to ensure clomid did it's job.
