3 month old with bad reflux/Gerd
I feel like I’m losing hope. For the past 2-3 weeks I’ve noticed my daughter becoming more squirmier when feeding. She used to eat 4-5.5Oz every 3-4 hours. Averaging about 20-25oz a day. Once she turned 3 months old like a week and a half ago she seemed to get worse out of no where. She would spit up very often, hiccups, wet burps, brings her legs in towards her abdomen in pain and the list goes on and on. We never put her on medicine before because she was gaining weight and was able to do just fine(so we thought) But lately she’s barely eating 2-3oz and stops all the time at 3oz. She squirms as soon as she swallows the milk. It’s heartbreaking to see her like this. I’m assuming her throat is burned from all the acid. Her dr had us put her on famotidine and also told us she’s in the 5th percentile. It’s been 3 days and we haven’t seen any results. I’m pushing to be seen by a gastroenterologist but they won’t see her until she’s been on the medicine for at least 2 weeks. She only weighs 10.7lbs and I’m so scared she’s going to lose weight fast because she’s not eating how she used to. We started doing smaller feedings every 2.5-3 hours to see if it helps her out. Any other mommas going through this or went thought this with their little ones? I don’t know what else to do and how to make her throat feel better. Please any advice would help 😞
