Nope. I tell my husband right away. Blazing positive tests are enough "confirmation" for me.

Most 1st appointments aren’t until 8 or 9 weeks. That’s a long time to wait to tell someone your so close with. Both pregnancies I immediately told my husband lol there was no way I could keep it a secret. Plus as soon as I found out I drastically cut back on my caffeine which made me cranky and tired. Pregnancy test and not having a period is a pretty accurate indication your pregnant so I wouldn’t see why waiting would really matter.

I always want to suprise him but any time I've gotten an unexpected positive or we weren't trying (with both my pregnancies lol), 
I run to show him and get his opinion out of shock. I hate that I am the way i am 🤣🤣🤣

I told my husband right away, but we waited to tell most of our family until after confirmed by the doctor. (Husband did end up telling some of his family prior to confirmation)

So it depends. You do what your gut says. But for me, I told him right away and then I had a chemical. I’m still glad I told him, because he would need to understand why I was sad. 
The next time, I didn’t tell him I don’t think bc I was having another chemical. 
Then the next time, I actually did wait to do the blood work and then was planning to tell him. I did tell him actually after the first blood draw but before the second blood draw because he asked if I wanted a glass of wine and I couldn’t hide it . I’m a terrible liar and he would know something was up. We were in the car together when the nurse called with my second blood results. So that was special. 
In the end, go with your gut and share when you’re ready . There’s no right or wrong way, it’s what feels right for you.

No lol the 3 days I waited to make sure my vfl became a blazing pink line was painful to my soul😩😂 I felt like I was deceiving him in the worst way.  I could never have made it to my first appt which was at 13 weeks.
