FemVue REVIEW!!
I honestly thought it’d be a little mildly similar to a pap just a tad bit more painful, I was wrongly mistaken.
When I arrived to the appointment the nurse explained everything regarding the procedure from what to expect during and after. She answered all my questions, I asked about the possibility of my Fallopian tubes opening up from this procedure if in fact they were blocked (she said yes, it made chances much higher in getting pregnant).
She then started with a mock transfer, this was very painful!! Once I thought the worst was over, she starts the FemVue!
This was the most pain I’ve felt in my uterus since giving birth! They try to down play it and say it’s a mild pain but OMG!! I was literally screaming and cursing up a storm. I told her I couldn’t go any more with it and she said we were almost done. Once they finished up the nurse said she’d give me some time to lay there before putting my clothes back on.
When they were gone, I laid there and cried. I don’t know if the procedure triggered something in me but I was so emotional. After laying there about 10 minutes, I got up and put my clothes on. While doing so I realized that during the procedure my left abdomen hurt so bad (as if it was really blocked) but while I was dressing up my right was hurting. Not only was my stomach cramping but I had a shooting pain on my back towards the inside of my right shoulder blade.
I asked the nurse if this was normal and she said it might’ve been a shock to my muscles from being so stiff during the procedure.
It’s been about 4 hours since leaving the doctors office. I still have cramping (which was expected) along with back pain (unexpected).
I’m hoping that if my tubes were blocked maybe this would’ve helped in unblocking them. Maybe the reason I felt so much pain was because they are/were blocked?
I’m hoping this takes us one step closer to conceiving. We will see!
The nurse said the chances are much higher the next 2 months after FemVue.
If you’re thinking about getting this procedure done or already have it scheduled, just expect the worst. I will not down play it for anyone.
The pain may vary if you are blocked versus someone who isn’t.
Good luck to anyone going through this! 🙏🏽#youarenotalone #muchloveandlight
