Trying to conceive a girl with Shettles method
I am just curious...when pregnant with a girl/trying for a girl, when can you see a positive test if conceived?
My little sister is getting married in early April and this was my last chance to tell my family members in person that I am pregnant. I hope to be pregnant that is. They all live several hours drive away from me and it's my only chance to do a pregnancy announcement in person for my mom especially. I feel it is very risky trying for a girl because of no sex on ovulation day itself or the day before.
I had a little cervical mucus when I wiped that day I tried (February 26). Not every time I went to the washroom did I have cervical mucus. It did appear clear and watery looking when it did show up.
I researched how cervical mucus helps sperm travel through the cervix to the egg. I also researched that sperm can't pass through if the cervix was closed. I couldn't tell if my cervix was open or closed...I have no idea. My ovulation day was February 28. Then I researched that sperm can die within 45 minutes if theres not cervical mucus...or not enough. What if my cervix was closed? How long can sperm survive without entering the uterus (it might have entered, but I wouldn't know). I have been tracking my periods for over a year now...and only started trying this year. Flo Premium has been spot on with my periods and ovulation for several months now.
Is there a chance that I could be pregnant? I sure hope so. My brother already gave my mom her first grandchild...2 grandchildren over a year and a half apart...2 boys...I want to give my mom her first granddaughter as I thought that would be pretty special. That's why I was trying for a girl for my first baby, but I don't know how to check my cervix myself, I know a little about cervical mucus. I don't know too much about trying for a girl except for some diet and timing tips I have read and researched. I found out Christmas day my sister was engaged, then her wedding is in early April. I want to tell my mom especially, and other family members that I am pregnant in person.
I feel some uterus cramping off and on today...is that implantation cramping? I never cramp before periods, only ever during my periods sometimes. My period is not due until March 15...so its pretty early to have implantation cramping, right? I was thinking I might have ovulated on the 27th instead even though Flo said the 28th. Since the 27th, I had decently consistent watery looking cervical mucus. Do you all think I could be pregnant? I hope so, but I just don't know. It's definitely way too soon for any pregnancy test. Also, yesterday and today I am very very tired/extreme fatigue.
I know I said a lot, but I wanted you all to have some details to analyze. Has anyone else had cramping this soon past ovulation day before? It's not bad or anything, but it's definitely there off and on today. If you had cramping this soon, were you pregnant?
Thanks in advance for all of your replies. Please send pink baby dust my way! I need all that I can get. And your prayers if you are the praying type. I really want a good pregnancy announcement for my mom in person and this cycle is my only chance at it...my mom lives too far away. I would rather tell her in person than over video chat. It's more special that way, at least for me and in my opinion. Thanks again for your replies, prayers, pink baby dust, encouragement, your stories, knowledge, and advice. No you don't have to provide all of that...some of you will be able to provide some of that and other will provide other parts of that. I thank you all!
