What is a C-section really like how long was the recovery process was it difficult taking care of a newborn after the surgery what are the restrictions and things that you can do does the scar ever fade? I'm super nervous

I struggled with stairs the first few days I was home, but im not really one to NOT muscle through so I forced myself to do everything anyway. Within 3 weeks I felt mostly back to normal. Wasn't 100% until about 5-6 weeks past. The most important thing you can do is force yourself to get up and walk as often and early after the procedure as you can. Moving around REALLY helps your body heal. It was the hardest recovery I've ever had from anything, but walk walk walk

I spent the first week in hospital due to my son being monitored. I had very speedy recovery, by the time my son was 3 weeks old I was back in the saddle riding again, I was comfortable too and I felt complete fine before, during and afterwards. I was determined it wouldn’t effect my life and daily tasks but I knew my limits and when I had enough. My health visitor was okay with how I was getting on and I did listen to what they had to say. Every person is different with their recovery.

I’m a big baby when it comes to pain so it was a struggle for me to do much the first 6 weeks. I’d say I was at least up and moving by week 3 but certain movements did cause pain. I pretty much laid in bed with my newborn the first few weeks and had his bassinet right next to my bed so I didn’t have to reach or bend to pick him up. Don’t push yourself too much and rest when you can. My pain medicine made me super tired so that didn’t help but I also needed it because Advil or Tylenol was not doing much. I don’t know of anyone that the scar completely went away but it’s been two years and mine has faded quite a bit and it’s so low and small that you can’t even see it when you’re wearing underwear. My biggest issue from a c section is I have loose skin/a pooch and I can’t wear anything low or that hits at the scar area because it’s uncomfortable and the skin/pooch hangs over it and I hate it. It doesn’t happen to everyone but I had no idea that might happen so it’s bummed me out lol
