Did you know that most hotels in tropical climates regularly spray their hotel rooms with pesticides and/or fumigate?

I had no idea and wanted to share in case others are unaware too. Trying to plan a vacation and I read somewhere that lots of hotels fumigate. I’ve called several so far (in all different locations) and they ALL regularly spray pesticides or fumigate the rooms…monthly or even weekly at some hotels. Yikes. I know pesticides are everywhere and they are impossible to avoid, but I was disappointed to learn we could be exposed this much while at a hotel.
