Implantation spotting or period?

Hey ladies. I'm two months off the Nuvaring, had a normal cycle last month with a normal period. This month, my husband and I had sex twice in my fertile window but not on my predicted day of ovulation. I took a pregnancy test on Saturday (would be 12 DPO based on predicted ovulation) and it was negative. The second day we had sex, was three days after predicted ovulation. So I had some bleeding on Monday morning started about 3am, woke me up from the gush and cramps. And then it got lighter throughout the day until it eventually stopped completely. Didn't bleed at all the last few days. Should I take a pregnancy test? I guess I'm just confused. I didn't bleed with my last pregnancy and this felt like alot of blood (maybe medium flow for a period?) I don't wanna get my hopes up but did anyone else experience a heavier "spotting" and end up pregnant?
