When does the daycare sickness end?

I know with a new baby they will get sick a lot, and in turn the rest of the family will also get sick... BUT how long did it take your baby and/or family to get used to the sickness going around and your immune systems being able to handle it instead of constantly getting sick? It's been a year  and although it has slowed, it seems like once a month someone is sick. Please tell me there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

My son is 3 and has been in nursery since he was 9 months old. From August to March he is sick every 3 weeks or so. He has asthma so every virus he gets we have to give him his relief inhaler 4x a day for 3-4 days.

It doesn't. Getting sick means your immune system IS taking care of it.

The first 1-2 years is when children's immune Systems are still building up. Especially being in daycare. It will most definitely slow down...stop? No. No one doesn't ever not get sick but back to back to back to back... LOL it will get better.

Oh don’t let me get started🙈 my daughter is 4 and goes to daycare for 2.5 years. She is CONSTANTLY sick! Only when masks were mandated she had like 3-4 month period when she was healthy. Since September she had an ear infection, Covid, stomach flu and between all kinds if colds with runny nose and never ending cough. She basically had only one week period when she was healthy, right after she finished the antibiotics for ear infection. Sometimes I just cry myself to sleep from this never ending cycle. Good luck mama, hopefully soon they will finally build their immunity!

My 3 year old is fairing MUCH better than my 1 year old, even tho she didn’t go to daycare when she was little. So my guess is the summer before or after they turn two you start to round the corner. That’s just a guess though

My son is 2.5 and he just got over strep 2 weeks ago and now he's sick again 🙃 I've come to accept someone will always be sick at this point lol

Still going through it here! My son is 9mo has been in daycare since 3mo and is usually sick once a month. Lately it has been longer stretches between sicknesses and not as severe so I’m hoping by a year it eases up!

It took my son year he's almost three now and while he gets small colds still occasionally he's rarely ever sick. He probably has got sick enough to get an actual fever since he was a small baby. I do also give him gummy vitamins for immune support especially if I notice a cold coming on

It doesn't end if your child goes to any group activities.
Actually in some areas different sicknesses went down, when kids started to wash hands more and wear masks... But basically. Until they are around in ten maybe, they get sick so easily. But, if you feel it is too often, contact a doc.
