Baby Kylar 👶🏻

I guess this is a little late, but I had my little guy 3 weeks ago on Feb 12th!

I had a natural birth planned, labored at home and the birth center, unmedicated, for about 24 hours before my labor stalled. I stopped dilating at 7cm and my contractions didn't ramp up after my water broke (which took forever). So my midwife recommended I transfer to the hospital for pitocin and an epidural, since it had been a while since my water broke. I agree, but right after getting pit & meds, baby's HR started to dip drastically with each contraction due to placental insufficiency from prolonged labor. So I elected to have a C-section to limit stress on the baby.

Even though nothing went to plan, I felt blessed every step of the way from my fantastic midwife, the EMS girl I went to high school with, my great Drs, and my baby coming into the world kicking & screaming. 🥰 Just wanted to share my story.
