Are a lot of Braxton Hicks bad?!

Question

24 weeks on Friday.. all day I’ve had quite a bit of BH. I’ve had one cup of coffee and two water bottles so far. I haven’t been doing much of anything today.

My OB said more than 6 in one hour is a cause for concern.

Braxton hicks can be triggered by many different things - dehydration, too much activity,  a full bladder, not enough activity. Drink more water and change up what you’re doing when you have them. They’re fine as long as they are coming less than 10 in an hour, and not falling into a timeable rhythm. I have had BH starting around 14 weeks with my third and fourth pregnancies and it’s perfectly normal.

I just had this happen last Friday. Went to the hospital and needed 2 bags of fluids. Was dehydrated I guess from being sick for a whole week. I've been staying as hydrated as possible since. They told me to drink a lot, and if I thought it was enough drink more.

It's usually a sign from your Jody that something is off.
Dehydration is a good guess.

You might be dehydrated. Drink some cold water and lay down see if they subside
