UTI prescription

I’m 12 weeks and 3 days and my doctor’s office just called and said I have a uti. They are prescribing me bactrim. In my last pregnancy, I was on something for a uti and it didn’t work so they had to prescribe me something else but I cant remember if it was bactrim. I am reading such mixed things about it and I am nervous. I know an untreated uti is a lot worse of course but I was wondering if anyone else had experience with taking bactrim around 12 weeks?
