Do you send baby shower invites to people out of state?

I will be having my baby shower May 1st and I’m working on sending out invites. Do you send invites to people out of state? What is the proper etiquette these days?

My shower date is the same day 😊
We sent it to family and friends out of state to make them feel welcome, but knowing that there was a very low chance of them attending. So far, everyone out of state has replied ‘no’

I sent one to everyone out of curtesy, even though I already knew they weren’t planning on coming. Also so they have the registry information if they wanted to send something.

I sent them to all my family out of state, they do sometimes visit so I wanted to make sure if they wanted to attend they could, but a lot sent gifts anyways

My sister did my baby shower for me and she just made a Facebook event for it 🤷🏽 worked out just fine
