Tattoo artist job?

Just looking for opinions and/or advice on stepping into working within the tattoo industry. I’m a 22yr old female in Australia. The industry has floated around in my mind as a possible career path since I was 14, I bought my own kit at 17, messed around with that for a bit but knew quality machines and inks would be entirely different to work with.

I’d just love to hear other’s experiences, and if you’re comfortable, any transparency about what the income is also like.
