Just some things to keep in mind.
Babies are more efficient than a pump ever will be. 
Just latch latch latch for the best output. 
Make sure you pump if you are away from babe during a feeding session. 
Don’t confuse clusterfeeding with babe not getting enough.
The only way at home to know if babe is getting enough milk is wet diapers. 6+ wet diapers (after the first week) equals enough milk. 
Feed on demand or every 3 hours, whichever comes first. 
Remember that what you pump doesn’t indicate supply. 
If pumping between latching, .5oz total between both breast is to be expected. Anything more than 1oz is considered an oversupply.
If exclusively pumping, you have to do a consistent schedule. The goal is 1oz per hour. So if you pump every 3 hours, 3-4oz is ideal and expected. That’s all babe needs. 24-32oz in day.

Feed on demand. That means latch baby whenever they’re showing hunger cues. Crying is a LATE hunger cue, and if you wait until then you’re going to have a much more fussy baby than if you take the time to learn how to recognize early cues, like fists up by face, rooting, sucking hands, etc.
It doesn’t matter if they nursed for an hour and then five minutes later want to nurse again - pop that baby right back on the boob. Cluster feeding (when baby feeds or seems to feed constantly with few or short breaks) is *normal*. But it’s exhausting. Don’t feel discouraged or fall into the trap of thinking you’re not making enough just because “baby’s always hungry!” Baby is growing, which means they’re going to be extra hungry a LOT. Ask for help for things like cooking and laundry and all the other stuff so you can focus on bonding with your baby. (Skin to skin is awesome for oxytocin production which leads to good milk production!)
The first 6-8 weeks are the hardest. After that though, you can quickly become a pro. My son is now 6 months old and only takes bottles of pumped milk while I’m at work. Otherwise he’s EBF.

Ebf is easiest. 
But if you do decide to add pumping, you just pump whenever baby takes a bottle. Preferably you want to keep a schedule. 
If you ever need a boost, do a power pump

That’s the way to maintain.
I did it all with my last baby (bf, pumped and used formula) I kept my supply up until the day we weaned. I pumped the same times while I was at work and while at home I nursed as much as she wanted.
