Period changes

My and my spouse have been ttc for a year now , I started seeing a OBGYN to make sure everything is fine but this month has been very off. I started spotting on Wednesday and started bleeding on Thursday but we had sex Wednesday since it was very light and midday on Thursday I began getting very light. By Friday I was back to spotting and this morning my light tampon was not used. I could have used a liner basically. Normally I’ll use a super+ from day 1 - day 4 and day 5 will be spotting. But I’ve used mainly lights all this past week. I did take a pregnancy test on Thursday and it was negative so idk what may be happening here. Just wanted to see if anyone was going through something similar.
