Soo... We really can't have hot dogs?

What's the deal with us not being able eat hot dogs? I'm craving Frank's and beans(random) but I really want some.

I eat hotdogs but I boil them then fry them up, I'm too lazy to grill. I also eat cold deli sandwiches. Had egg salad sandwiches the other day. I don't eat it everyday tho. I already have to live in a food bubble because of gestational diabetes so I'm not going to restrict everything, just what I already have to.

I eat hotdogs occasionally. Honestly there's so many rules the only things I don't do are drink or smoke which I didn't do anyway!

Get nitrate free deli meat! Nitrates are bad for baby even if you don't care about the listeria risk.

If I crave a hot dog, I eat a hot dog! I just buy high quality ones and cook the holy hell out of them lol.

U can eat them as long as they are heated, i eat lunch meats etc a lot just have to eat them prior, heating does something to the preservatives thats harmful i guess

You can eat them FULLY cooked and in moderation. 💞 I have 1 here and there. That's the only thing I've craved thus far.

They have a lot of nitrates - I think hotdogs aren't he only thing either.

Also no canned food with BPA lining (it has BPA lining unless it specifically says it doesn't)

No deli items- egg salad, chicken salad, deli sandwiches etc.

Be careful not to microwave your food plastic

Hot dogs, deli meats, deli salads... All perfectly fine, in moderation of course. The chances of getting listeria (which is the worry with deli stuff) is incredibly slim- as in practically non existent.  Hot dogs aren't good for you in general, but only if you eat them all the time. On or two every now and then is not going to harm you or the baby.

Just cook them really good.. If your making your own buy the Weiner's that are made out of real beef. I don't recall what brand they are but they are so much better the regular hot dogs

Cook your hot dogs and deli meat, and it can be ate occasionally. Everything in moderation.
