Spotting count as CD1?

My clinic told me to call on CD1 to book tests. I started spotting last night and it’s still light today. Does today could as CD1 even though it’s not full flow yet?

My best friend is going through fertility treatments, they’ve told her the same, spotting counts as a day 1! I would call and double check but if it was spotting, I’d say yes day 1.
