Go To The Hospital?

So I’m 39 weeks, had a membrane sweep on Wednesday, been having bloody show since Thursday, and contractions since yesterday as well. Since maybe 1 am, my contractions are 30-40 seconds each, 5-8 minutes apart and haven’t wavered. Should I go to the hospital or continue to just time them and wait it out?

Generally wait until 5 mins apart, lasting for 1 min, for 1 hour. Be forewarned that's not always baby time. I went in at 4-1-1 and was only 2-3 cm dilated and went home to labor down. Like if that rule doesn't apply, how do I know when to come in? They said when it gets really really painful. Which it never did. I went into active labor and was admitted 3 days later. 4-5 cm with a bulging bag. Contractions didn't really hurt. They were just enough to wake me up and that's why I figured it was go time. They admitted me and got me in a room at 3:28 am. Texting people like gonna have a baby today, not sure when, but today. Little did I know... He was born at 4:21 am after 10 mins of pushing. Didn't even have time for pain meds. I kept waiting for "intense period cramp" like pain everyone talked about and it never happened. Not even halfway as bad as my period cramps. Literally didn't expect to have him so soon because it just wasn't painful.

Wouldn't hurt to go get checked. My contractions were 10 minutes apart for 9 hours and then started coming randomly. I waited and waited for the 5-1-1 rule but it never happened. I started feeling a lot of pressure so I went in and was already at 8 cm. My baby was born an hour after we pulled into the hospital parking lot

Can I just say, get to the hospital immediately regardless of contraction times if you pass anything black or green, it means your baby has pooped inside and they need to get baby out as soon as possible!

This was my contractions before I gave birth. I went to labor and delivery because my contractions were super strong. I got to triage and I was 4 cm and 100% effaced with my blood pressure being super high. It was 162/82.

I would wait until they’re lasting a minute and coming every 5 minutes or less, unless you have a long drive to the hospital or your pain becomes too much!
