Hey  GLOW mommas and daddies 👋🏽 I’m new to the community and have a question regarding my 6 month old . Should i be giving 6-8 oz of water a day ?! So many different websites say so many different things.

No! Water is optional before 1! Formula/ breast milk intake doesn’t decrease before 1 so that’s where they get their hydration!
At 6 months, you can start offering a little bit to practice using different cups and to help digestion but keep it under 4oz.

If you are feeding solids, you should be giving a couple oz of water per day in addition to their normal breast milk/formula consumption. Start slow and increase a little at a time as baby gets older.
