When to look into IVF?

I’m 28 and TTC baby #2. We are on cycle 3 of TTC. I don’t think we’ve been having enough sex each month. How much sex do you need to have? And how long after TTC can you look into IVF? Is IVF more effective?

A doctor would never go ahead with IVF unless you’ve been trying for a year or have a medical diagnosis that requires it. It’s normal for it to take up to a year to conceive

We had sex 2 days during my fertile window this cycle vs like 5 days last month, I’m 11 dpo and got a vfl last night on a pregnancy test! This was month 4 ttc #2

IVF is incredibly expensive and is generally a last ditch effort if you are unable to conceive naturally for over a year, fertility testing shows issues, and other fertility treatments fail only then would you move to ivf. It can take some time to conceive even with no fertility problems the best thing you can do is try to track ovulation to make sure you are giving yourself the best chances each cycle and give it time even though it's way easier said than done
