Have you ever been in a physically abusive relationship? What did you do?

Answer

Yes. He was physically, verbally, and sexually abusive and it was awful! I was with him for two years. He would tell me that I had to stay with him because no one else would ever love me. Eventually I had enough and I told him I would rather be alone for the rest of my life then stay with him. It was the best decision I ever made.

Never with a boyfriend. But my step mother was very manipulative and verbally abusive.

I was 14 and was in a relationship with a 17 year old and he would get violent with me if I didn't do what he told me to do

Yeah, when I was 16 I was in a relationship with a 21 year old and he was very forceful and he wanted sex but I'd only been with him 3weeks so I said no, then he turned quite nasty and would grab me from behind and other physical things without my permission and it really scared me. He ended up cheating on me and left after 10months though

I have, but it's my mother. It's confusing. I know she's abusive, but she's my mom.

Yes. Eventually I ended it, after using all of the courage I had. I've moved on and found an amazing boyfriend thankfully, but I still think about it once in awhile.
