‼️‼️‼️ Before I start yes I know this seems childish but this is VERY important to me ‼️‼️‼️

But anyways:

So since my son has been born we have struggled financially especially when it comes to holidays and not being able to buy him clothes for the specific holiday. (Which is fine, hand me downs are cute anyways)

But I've always been the parent that wants to choose THEIR child's outfits even on holidays and there have been Times our in laws have bought him an outfit and didn't ASK for us to put it on him, they pretty much DEMANDED because they bought it so to keep the peace and since we didn't have anything else we did it.

Well this year I want my son to wear a button up shirt and pants and boots. Yes we couldn't afford a suit but I don't think any of them would suit him anyway so I went a different route. Well my FIL started saying how he was going to buy him a suit to wear and his mom butted in and told him "wait until she sees what SHE wants him to wear first and if she can't find anything and wants you to buy it then you can" so he said "ok".

SO HE HEARD WHAT SHE SAID‼️‼️

So today I went through his clothes and found some outfits I wanted him to wear and showed them to my husband and he liked them. And everyone I asked liked them. But when I showed them to his dad and here is how the conversation went:

FIL: I already bought him one

Me:I want him to wear one of these

FIL: you should have said something about it

((Keep in mind he heard what his mom told him and agreed but went and did what she told him not to do anyway))

I tried to compromise and tell him our son could wear it for Easter pictures and he still wasn't happy .

So now my husband has to talk to him and I'm hoping he doesn't try to make me put it on my kid to please his dad because at that point I'll know I'll never have a say in my children.

I'm just frustrated and mad and annoyed 😠
