How did your labor start?

Question

I was induced with my first so never had a natural labor, how did everyone's start? 
I'm 36weeks and have tightenings coming every 3/5 minutes lasting 40ish seconds been going on for at least 4hours now! Aren't painful but are very uncomfortable especially down below, my back and hips. Really don't think it's labor but would love to hear everyone's labor story's 💕

I was induced at 38 weeks 6 days with my daughter. The night before I had period-like pain in my lower pelvis (it almost felt like deep hip pain but something more internal). I tracked the contractions with an app and I waited like 4-6 hours after they started to go on a walk around my neighborhood in the middle of the night. I went to the hospital after they and even though I was having contractions they weren't regular or painful enough to be considered active labor. 
My blood pressure was insanely high which it had never been previously so I was induced within a few hours of being in the hospital. In less than 12 hours (that same day, a little more than 24 hours after the contractions started at home the day prior) my daughter was born. I pushed for 20 minutes, had 2 second degree tears and stitches and was able to breastfeed my kid right after she was born. We waited until her birth to find out the gender which was super exciting. 
This pregnancy I'm being treated as someone who has hypertension since the beginning of this pregnancy (meaning I take a low dose aspirin every day from 12-36 weeks pregnant). Around my 24 week appointment my blood pressure started increasing but it's not horrible yet. I'm hoping i don't need to be induced again because I had horrible swelling in my legs and feet after giving birth for the first 2 weeks postpartum and my daughter lost a lot of weight (11%) within the first day of life which meant for strict feeding and doctors appointments everyday to weight her until she gained her weight back. 
I was induced with pictocin and when I was in transition I asked for an epidural. The epidural worked well (my left leg was completely numb though) but the urinary catheter was the most painful thing I've ever experienced. I needed extra pain meds in my epidural due to how much discomfort I was in.

Sounds like you’re experiencing Braxton Hicks. Try a shower to see if they stop. It could be Braxton hicks or prodomal labor (which can last weeks). 
For me it started with the lightest little cramps ever at 35+4 but were coming every 7 mins and lasted 1 minute long. I literally had to close my eyes and focus on them because they were sooo light. 
This went on for 45 minutes before I got up and tried a shower to see if theyd stop. I assumed it was prodomal labor. As soon as I stepped in the shower, I had a couple trickles down my leg. I thought I was crazy but canceled my baby shower that was supposed to happen later and woke my husband. I said “I think I should go get checked. I think my water is leaking”. He wakes and hops in the shower and I get changed. I’m standing in just a shirt and my water burst on the floor. 
My husband is laughing at me at this point because I was just standing legs spread as it just keeps coming. I get a pad and sweats on and another gush comes soaking through my pants. Change again hoping that was the last. But no, I kept getting gushes so I just put a towel under me in the car. My pants were completely soaked and the towel by time we got to the hospital! I was amazed how much water was in there! 😂
So mild tiny baby contractions started at 6am, water broke at 7am, was at the hospital at 10am, babe was born at 7pm. Never had painful contractions.

For first baby, water broke in the wee hours of the morning. I woke up feeling like I had to pee and then feeling crampy on the toilet. Told hubby I thought my water broke. Experienced cramps around 7 minutes apart en route to hospital. Got strong enough over time that I requested pain meds and strong enough by the time I had an epidural to have trouble sitting still. Delivered that morning.
For second baby, woke up in the wee hours of the morning feeling some cramps, wondered if it was labor, and waited to see if it would happen again. When it did, told hubby and started timing them. Crampy sessions went from 15 minutes apart to 5 minutes apart within an hour or two. Got strong enough by the time we left the house that I had to stop walking and breathe through them. Went to hospital and barely got into a labor and delivery room before they told me to start pushing.

With my first I gave birth at 38 weeks and within 4 hours. I think it’s because I’m small (4’11) so I have a short torso and baby had nowhere else to go but out (at 36 weeks I was 4cm dilated but didn’t feel any type of contraction). I did a lot of walking and sex and bouncing on yoga ball. Water popped at 7AM and contractions started within 5 minutes. And I believe I was at 6 cm so it HURT. Gave birth at 11:50 AM
