What is considered high blood pressure?

I've had elevated blood pressure since about 20 weeks. (Currently 32 weeks.) anyway I've felt pretty sick today and took my bp. Readings have been 145/80 132/83 & now 147/93

I'm currently in the hospital for high BP they told me I should worry about the lower number rising even tho it is elevated we are considered to be border line hypertension my readings have been between 149/96-135/89 I've been here for 6 days and it varies and even tho it's considered high they might just send me home and induce me when I'm 37 weeks best of luck to u and all I can say is try to relax don't be on ur feet too much and lay on ur left side when resting and drink plenty of fluids

Maybe you should call your Dr, the 147 is definitely high

They told me anything 140/90 and up.

My dr said to call if systolic was over 140 or diastolic was over 90 twice (take it, get a high reading, relax, wait an hour, take it again)

Your OB hasn't said anything about this? Mine was high once and they mentioned extra testing for pre-eclampsia. Also are they checking your blood pressure as soon as you get in the room or are they allowing you to rest for a little while...that also makes a huge difference. I ask them too do my BP while sitting on a normal chair because we often exert extra energy getting up on the exam table which can also raise your Heart rate which in turn raises your BP. 
Sometimes my OBs assistants get frustrated with me because I'm a nurse and I expect things done a certain way. Don't be afraid to speak up if something isn't right.
