Reasons for a false negative?

On 9dpo I had a positive  (pink dye, didn't seem like evap) but since then 100% negatives :( Pretty sure I didn't have a chemical as I haven't had any bleeding or spotting. Has anyone had a similar experience or know of reasons fora fake positive?

I don't know why but I've had a definite positive before and I wasn't pregnant. Nobody really knew why, I just put it down to a faulty test.

Faulty positive tests are almost impossible if it is a clear positive and not an evap line. There has to be hcg in your body for the test to show it. If you used other tests could be that they are not as sensitive as the first one or you tested with morning urine and then again after you drank a lot. If that is not the reason I would suggest you indeed have a chemical. Bleeding could take a while, the body realizes not always right away that something is off with the pregnancy. I'm sorry. I would also suggest going to your gyn if AF doesn't show.
